Vault This vs a hidden album.
Most gallery apps can hide or archive a photo. It drops out of the main view, but it isn't locked or encrypted.
| Feature | A hidden album | Vault This |
|---|---|---|
| Out of sight in your gallery | ||
| Needs its own pattern to open | ||
| Encrypted on the phone | ||
| Kept off the cloud unless you choose | ||
| Safe if someone has your unlocked phone | ||
| Passwords and documents too |
What hiding really does
A hidden or archived photo is one or two taps away for anyone using your unlocked phone, and it usually keeps syncing to the cloud like any other photo.
What Vault This does
Photos move into an encrypted vault with its own pattern. They leave your gallery, stay off the cloud unless you turn on an encrypted backup, and stay locked even when your phone is unlocked.
